You can set your market as well as your price, so you can even get a bet going on your local Sunday League game!

How do I get started?
First you have to register to become a member. Navigate around the site to get familiar with everything. Then invite all your mates and get betting. You can start off with small bets as we don’t impose a minimum bet size. To be able to bet, the person you want to bet with must first accept you as a "mate" on MatesOdds.
Who can bet?
Wherever you are in the world, so long as you have a mate and fancy a wager, you can bet. Your mates, your odds.
What currencies are accommodated on MatesOdds?
All bets are currently placed in pounds sterling. We will be expanding our range of currencies in the near future.
Betting Rules
MatesOdds do not set the betting rules. We allow members to bet on any event they want at the price they want. They are also free to attach whatever rules and conditions they want to a particular bet. It's just like making a wager down the pub.
So if you want to make a bet on MatesOdds, set the price, the amount and the event you want to bet on. More importantly, make sure to set the rules and conditions of the bet. If somebody offers you a bet, it goes without saying that you should be aware of any technicalities first.
MatesOdds does not offer arbitration over any bets. It is up to each member to set clear and concise rules for each bet. Accepting a bet indicates you are happy with the rules and conditions of the bet.
Because the counterparties of the bet must settle the bet themselves, you must pay close attention to the conditions and rules of each bet. A vast majority of bets will have a clear cut result.
The person who initiates a bet (the offerer) has the duty of settling the bet. He/She must do this by claiming from 3 options - a win, loss or void.
Once the bet has been claimed, the debt of the bet must be paid. How this is paid is at the discretion of both counterparties to the bet. We recommend Paypal, the leading standard for person to person payments.
Once payment has been received, the winner of the bet must confirm the receipt of the cash with a simple click. The bet then goes down on record as fully settled up.
Being recognised as an honest settler of bets and having a quick payment of bet losses will enhance your standing amongst your MatesOdds peers and ensure you will have no problem getting your money on for the big events.
MatesOdds is a self policing site that is built on trust and honesty. If somebody decides not to cough up on winnings, then simply slate them on their wall. It is unlikely anybody will bet with them again.
The Bet Life Cycle
Step 1. Offer the bet
To be able to offer a bet to someone, you must first invite them to be your "mate" on MatesOdds. Once they accept you are free to make them a bet offer. Once the bet has been offered, you will not be able to cancel it. However, you will be able to edit it up until it has been accepted by your mate.
Step 2. Accept the bet
If you like the odds and the rules attached to it, all you have to do is click "Accept". On the other hand, if you want to negotiate better terms, you can post suggestions and requests in the "Bet Comment Box". The offerer can change the terms of the bet up until you click the accept button, so it is always worth haggling for the best possible price.
Step 3. Claim the outcome
The person who first initiates the bet has the duty of making the claim on the bet's outcome. You have three choices - "You won", You lost", or "Void". Please ensure you claim the results of your bets correctly. Being recognised as an honest settler of bets and having a quick payment of bet losses will enhance your standing amonst your mates and ensure you will have no problem getting your money on for the big events. If somebody is slow in making a claim, make sure to chase them down on their wall.
If the result of a bet is claimed incorrectly, please contact MatesOdds customer service. We will make the necessary adjustments.
Step 4. Confirm you have received payment
Once you know the bet result, you will either be receiving cash or paying out. The safest way to do this is via Paypal. Alternatively, if you want to arrange payment by other means, you can do so by dropping an email to your counterparty.
Once you receive the cash, please ensure you confirm receipt of payment by clicking "Confirm". Once confirmed, the bet transaction is complete, but the banter can continue!
